Why Learn Coding?
Coding offers numerous benefits for children, helping them develop essential skills that go beyond just writing lines of code. It enhances problem-solving abilities by teaching kids how to break complex challenges into smaller, manageable steps—an essential skill in both academics and everyday life. Logical thinking is strengthened as they learn to structure commands and debug errors, fostering a critical and analytical mindset.
What We Teach:

SCRATCH is an introductory visual programming language designed specifically for kids, making it the perfect starting point for young learners to explore the world of coding. Using a simple drag-and-drop interface, children can create interactive stories, animations, and games without needing to type complex code. This block-based system teaches fundamental coding concepts such as loops, conditionals, variables, and event handling in an intuitive and engaging way.

FAQs
How much experience does my child need? None! Our coding classes are designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to more advanced learners. We offer age-appropriate courses that introduce coding fundamentals in a fun and engaging way.
What equipment/software is required? Children are expected to bring their own laptops for class. If a child does not have a laptop, we will do our best to provide one so they can fully participate. All necessary software and tools for coding will be available on free, web-based platforms, ensuring easy access. As our program grows, we aim to eventually provide laptops to all participants to create an inclusive learning environment for every child. If your child wants to continue practicing at home, they can use their computer (PC, Mac, or Chromebook) with internet access. Our courses use a free, web-based platform: Scratch.
Can parents stay in the classroom during the session? Parents have the flexibility to stay or leave during their child’s class. You’re welcome to drop off your child and return at the end of the session, or if you prefer, you can stay and relax in our comfortable waiting area, which is equipped with chairs, tables, and complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks. While parents are not required to stay, we encourage a stress-free environment where you can choose what works best for you and your child.
What if my child misses a class? If your child misses a class, we’ve got them covered! Instructor notes detailing the material covered in class, along with any homework assignments, will always be sent to parents via email so your child can catch up at their own pace. If they need additional help, they can review the provided resources and practice exercises at home. We’re also happy to answer any follow-up questions to ensure they stay on track with the course.
